Webinar: Digital Marketing Strategy and Tactics

An AI manager is the person who gives AI the work and owns the result. You brief AI, you check its draft and you approve or reject it. AI does not take the blame for an error. You do. This post gives you the three steps.

Who This Is For

Staff who use AI daily and want to trust the output they send.

The Three Steps of an AI Manager

StepWhat You DoQuestion to Ask
1. BriefGive the goal, the reader, the format and the sources.Would a new colleague understand this brief?
2. CheckRead the draft against the sources. Is every fact true and every number right?
3. ApproveAccept, rewrite or reject.Would I sign this with my own name?

The Brief Template

  • Goal: what the output is for.
  • Reader: who reads it, and what they know already.
  • Format: length, headings, table or slides.
  • Sources: the files AI can use, and nothing else.
  • Limits: what AI cannot do, for example guess a number.

Example: A Customer Reply

Hafiz is a customer service lead in Shah Alam. A customer complains about a late delivery.

  • Brief: reply in a calm tone, apologise once, give the new date from the order system.
  • Check: AI wrote “delivery tomorrow”. The system says Thursday. Hafiz corrects it.
  • Approve: Hafiz reads it once more and sends it under his own name.

Why People Hold Back

Prefer not to rely too much on AI

Participant, Azelis

This is the right instinct. An AI manager does not rely on AI. An AI manager checks AI.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • A one-line brief. Short briefs give generic drafts.
  • Checking only the grammar. Check the facts and numbers first.
  • Sending a draft you did not read. Your name is on it.

Try It This Week

Take three AI drafts from this week. Mark each one: accept, rewrite or reject. Write why.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be technical?

No. An AI manager needs clear briefs and careful checks, not code.

What is human in the loop (HITL)?

A person checks AI output before it goes to a manager or a client.
