Corporate Planning Training Courses
Business strategy and development training courses in Malaysia for corporate planners and management teams. Each course teaches one part of the planning cycle, from market research to the strategic business plan, and your people work on their own market and their own numbers.
Kognifi assesses the work, so you can see the competence. We run each course in-house for your team or as a public class in Petaling Jaya. Each course is an HRD Corp (HRDF) claimable course for HRD Corp registered employers.
Who these corporate planning courses are for
- Corporate planners and business management teams who write and present the strategic business plan.
- Marketing, product, sales and business development teams who need market data and a go-to-market strategy.
- Managers, HR and finance teams who set targets and KPIs and track them.

- Marketing Strategy: the strategy. SWOT and PESTEL for risks and opportunities, Porter's 5 Forces and the product life cycle for industry trends, and strategic options for positioning and growth.
- Strategic Business Planning Workshop: the plan. Business development direction and data, the go-to-market marketing mix plan, the plan of action, the risk management plan, and the strategic business plan presentation. Three days.
- Strategic Decision Making for Leaders: the decision. Issue framing, data insights and scenarios, strategic options and bias, and stakeholder alignment for execution.
- KPI and Metrics Management: the targets. KPI and goal setting, metrics to measure performance and control risks, workforce commitment and performance calibration.

How each course runs
- Each participant brings a real case from work: a customer, a product, a team or a proposal.
- The trainer shows one tool at a time. Then each participant uses the tool on that case.
- The trainer gives feedback on the work during the class.
- At the end, the trainer assesses the work against a rubric. You can see what each person can now do.
Participants leave with work that they can use on the next working day.
What your team brings back to work
- Tools that each participant used in class on their own market data, plan or targets.
- An assessed piece of work for each participant.
- The Kognifi Certificate of Competency for participants who pass 80% of the assessment.
Three ways to run a course
