Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Course

The Kognifi OSHA course is a two-day course. It covers the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and the 2022 changes. It is for supervisors, team leaders, safety officers and HR staff. The public class fee is RM3,500 per person. This post explains who should attend, what each module teaches and how to choose.

How to Choose Who to Send

  1. List the people who hold a safety role: coordinator, committee members, supervisors.
  2. Mark who has not had OSHA training since the 2022 changes came into force.
  3. Send the coordinator and the supervisors of high-risk work first.
  4. For five or more people from one company, compare the in-house fee with public seats.
  5. After the course, ask each person for one action on your workplace.

Example: A Food Factory

Take a food factory in Shah Alam with 120 staff. It has a new OSH coordinator and six line supervisors. The coordinator and two supervisors join the public class first. The other four supervisors join an in-house class with the safety committee.
