In this course, participants learn about the Occupational Safety & Health of Malaysia:

• Understand the essential changes introduced in OSHA 2022.
• Apply basic OSH management principles such as hazard identification and safe work practices.
• Prevention from any ergonomic, physiological, and psychological danger in the workplace.

Participants will learn basic OSHA 2022 compliance and workplace safety responsibilities.

They will explore Hazard Identification, OSH management basics, and fundamentals of incident reporting, investigation, and emergency response.

In this course, participants will understand the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 2022 and its key requirements.

Module 1 · Introduction to OSHA 1994 & OSHA (Amendment) 2022

Participants will understand the purpose of OSHA 1994 and the reasons for the OSHA 2022 amendments, including its expanded coverage, new requirements and public safety obligations, enabling them to apply the updated legal expectations and strengthen workplace compliance.

Module 2 · Legal Responsibilities – Employer, Employee & OSH Committee

Participants will learn about their duties and compliance under OSHA 2022 and demonstrate basic workplace safety responsibilities and so they can ensure workplace compliance, strengthen safety culture, and effectively manage legal risks.

Module 3 · Hazard Identification & OSH Management Basics

Participants will understand the fundamentals of an OSH Management System, OSHA 2022 requirements for OSHMS, and the HIRARC process for enabling them to identify risks effectively and apply essential controls to ensure a safer work environment.

• What OSHA 2022 requires from OSHMS
• Introduction to HIRARC
• Types of hazards: physical, chemical, ergonomic, biological, psychosocial

By the end of this topic, participants will understand which incidents must be reported to DOSH under OSHA 2022, the basic steps of an effective incident investigation, key elements of workplace emergency preparedness, common types of emergencies, and the essential response roles, enabling them to respond correctly, support compliance, and strengthen overall emergency readiness.
